Opening Ceremony of the Karl May Museum
Myth and Reality: Tombstone, Arizona is setting up a unique Karl May exhibition.
The famous novelist Karl May who created Winnetou and Old Shatterhand over a century ago gets a new Museum in Tombstone. The movies with Pierre Brice as Winnetou and Lex Barker as Old Shatterhand are unforgettable.
Initiator Peter Stenger of the Apache Spirit Ranch, associated with the official Karl May Museum in Radebeul, Germany, are very pleased to have opened an absorbing Karl May exhibition in May 2012. American Indian original objects complete the exhibition, such as tomahawks or ornate moccasins. Moreover wall charts illustrate the life of Cowboys and Native Americans.
The exhibition will initially run for one year and admission is free.
